Although there’s no Super Serious this month, our crew is helping the Whisper gang with Share Circle, a fun one-off show tomorrow night at The Virgil. Wednesday, December 18th! It’s going to be a fun experiment in “anonymous” sharing. Maybe a comedic bastardized support group gone awry kind of night?
Jay Larson hosts with sharing-is-caring contributions from Ian Karmel, Emily Maya Mills, Nick Thune, Rick Glassman, Ron Funches, Alice Wetterlund and Sean O’Connor.
It’s doubling as a benefit for Your Voice. DJ Johnny Hawkes will be playing music after the show, as well.
You can nab tickets here - includes 2 drinks and tacos!

Check-out the fun show photos from our June show with Baron Vaughn, Eddie Pepitone, The Pajama Men, Arden Myrin, Brent Weinbach, Nick Thune and Rachel Bloom. It was one of our more out-there shows with a ton of memorable performances and variety. We also were treated to some great videos from director Keith Schofield. Super Serious pal and guest photographer, Liezl Estipona did a great job capturing the fun night.

Hooray! We’re excited to announce that comedian and actor Nick Thune will be making his Super Serious return June 21st at Café Club Fais Do-Do! And gawsh, we missed him! Thune is one of the more unique and versatile comedic performers working today. Beside the soft hum of his guitar, Thune’s clever wit and delightful absurdist view win over audiences every time. On top of countless appearances on The Tonight Show, Thune has his own half-hour special on Comedy Central and has appeared on Conan and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He has also appeared in a few feature films, including Mike Judge’s Extract, Highway 61, Unaccompanied Minors and Knocked Up. More recently, he appeared in the independent flick, Not That Funny, starring Tony Hale.
